Final Brianstorm

When I consider about the final project, the first thing come to my mind is Diablo III. It has been released by Blizzard Entertainment 1 week ago. It’s a really good PC game, and it’s a sequel of a really famous pc game Diablo II. I have been waiting for this game for like 12 years, and I really want to share my excitement with other people.
More deepgoing, I’m probably going to make this project as a mix with both pictures and a short video. I’m going to show the process of my game career with couple screenshots mixed with some reality picture by Photoshop. This will show how I enjoy the game, and also how I screw my reality life with this game, your will really feel it, because I actually throw in more than 30 hours to play it in the first 2-3 days right after the releasing date.
For the video, I may be going to show one the most excited process in the game, which is the boss fight, I’m plan to show a very hard fight, and people will feel how nervous I am, and will feel how excited I am after finish the boss.
Actually in my plan, at the end of the video or picture, you will see my hero is in the Valhalla, because he finishes what he needs to do and also pay his life for it. The whole project actually will start from my hero’s born to death.
I think this is a very excited plan, and I will do some further fix in the next couples days.

Blog 9: Response to Carver “Cathedral”

The story is mainly talking about the narrator's wife have a friend which is a blind man who will come to visit them. The narrator feels very uncomfortable with the blind because he has no idea how to communicate with blind people. In addition, the blind man also have a special relationship with the narrator's wife which makes him feels angry. In the end, the have a dinner together, and then get to know each other finally.
I pretty like the part that the narrator trying to explain the cathedral to the blind man. He is trying  to talk to him first, and then hold his hand to draw the cathedral instead of explain it literally. This is a great connection between the narrator and the blind man, and also get me touched.

I choose the word shave as my action word. Shave is a simple word, you can easily  relate this word to like shave your mustache. However, we always  want to do something different for arts right? So I just decide to shave my hair this time, haha...
My object is obviously my electric shaver! It is one of my favorite stuff, I use it every morning, and I really cannot imagine the life that I lose it!
The  inspiration of this project is actually come from my daily, because I really want have a bareheaded hair style once, but I just do not brave enough to make such a big change, because I usually have a very long hair...However I use this project to make my dream come true haha! In the project, I use the my shaver to shave my hair and finally I get a completely bareheaded head which you can not consider it handsome, but I think it's cool!
For a technically explanation, I just use the color replacement tool to change the brush tool's color to my skin color, then I just brush my hair, and draw a new  eyebrow.
Hope you enjoy my work, Thank you.

My character's resource.
My enemy

The picture that inspire me
My work

When I thought about special abilities, I didn’t consider how many advantages that I can take from it, but what the spirit is really behind the ability itself.  Then a person just come to my mind, he is really like a true human instead of a cartoon character who live in my spirit world.  When I feel week, or I’m going to give up, he always come to me and push me forward.  He is reckless and stupid, but always takes his courage in both hands and never afraid of anything.  He is so righteous ardour and standing behind his friend. He is my favorite animation character - Monkey·D·Luffy.
Here is a short video to show this animation and Luffy.
The basic idea of this project is a mix of Luffy’s ability and the new marvels movies together. I find a really interesting part of the movie, and here is a short video to show it:
It’s really fun right? I basically just use Luffy’s abilities to defeat the bad people in the movie which is Loki, and the spirit behind my work is I wish to use his super power to prevent anything that important to me, and defeat everything which will stop me to chase my own dream.

Hope you enjoy my work, thank you.

I pretty like that how Wallace start his speech, although it is a common requirement for speech in American.  He talks about two young fish are swimming, and a old fish ask them how is water, and then they are think about what the hell is water. At this point, I think he is trying to point that it not that hard to moving forward about your mind, it only matters what you think. Water is one of the most common reality object in the world, we probably will never think about what is water if Wallace didn’t mention that in his speech.

I decided to use the image of the Scott lab’s study room.   I choose this place because I spent almost all my sophomore year’s free time here.  I always study in this room, and also a little entertainment, like chat with friends.

The basic idea of my job is cut and paste my studying image to the room, and these images are actually shoot from different time, so it looks pretty interesting because it means I always study in that spot, and also looks like I'm travelling in the time line. I also adjust visuality of my images, to make it looks like it's me in the room but in the different time.  There are also some of my friend's stuff on the desk, but there obviously are no other people in this room, because I want to show how I entertain in this room with my friend, and I still want to make it my own spot, so there are no other people.

Response to Kaprow "Blurring of art and life"

I like the author's opinion about some art exhibit in the gallery cannot count as art.  It's just like the experience I had in Wexner Center several days ago.  Some of these people's work really make nonsense to me, and I think it's just some normal object but in the different context like what the author said, and I really cannot understand why people should admire these things. In my particular opinion, art should not only depend on the people who created, it should depends on people who is enjoying it, because the art in each people's eyes is different. And i also like his opinon about the nonoticed action during our daily life, and almost 90% of out act is not noticed by ourselves. This really make sense to me, because I always feel like this.
There's no specific part that I don't like, but I do have a question. Does the author believe in like different people have different kind of art when they are the audience? Because in my point of view, brush teeth is clearly not art to me, but it's kind of art to the author.
